The Office of Diversity and Engagement provides vision, direction, leadership and oversight of UC’s engagement in public education. We manage programs, initiatives and services that prepare students to succeed academically and to ensure that they advance smoothly throughout the academic pipeline. We focus on students from communities with low college enrollment rates, applying current research and best practices to enhance the teaching-learning process with public school educators. We contribute to developing overarching strategies and approaches for the UC system that advance access, diversity and inclusion for students and faculty.

Transcript Evaluation Service
The University of California's Transcript Evaluation Service (TES) helps California public high schools increase college eligibility by providing UC-certified reports of their students’ progress towards completing “a-g” requirements. A newly updated TES is now being made available to schools throughout California to increase access to the UC and CSU systems, especially for low-income, educationally disadvantaged students from diverse backgrounds.
